Overview of Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with teams and departments across the organization, offering valuable support for a wide range of projects and tasks
  • Assist with database management, ensuring accurate updates and generating essential reports
  • Provide support to the Destination Madison team at events and committee meetings.
  • Work with the Brand team on content creation and posting, including web and social media
  • Participate in mailings, deliveries and other inventory management

Desired Education, Skills & Abilities

  • Pursuing a post-secondary degree in Hospitality, Tourism, Business, Marketing, or related field
  • Some customer service experience desired
  • Self-motivated with an engaging and friendly personality
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite – Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with Madison area attractions, amenities, and major events a plus

Work Hours & Job Specifications

  • Primarily perform work at the Destination Madison office during regular business hours (8 a.m.–5 p.m., Monday–Friday)
  • Availability to work events on some evenings and weekends
  • Expectations of 10–16 hours per week during the semester, with up to 30 hours per week during the summer
  • Work with frequent interruptions and sit or stand for long periods of time. Lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 35 pounds

Compensation The pay for this position is $16.00 per hour.
